COCA-COLA CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER STEPS DOWN

Stephen Jones has resigned as chief marketing officer of The Coca-Cola Company of Atlanta, GA. Jones joined Coca-Cola Canada in 1986 as brand manager for Sprite. Two years later he re-located to Coca-Cola USA to take over the diet Coke and Sprite brands in the U.S. Between 1990 and 1999 he held various positions at Coca-Cola Great Britain and Coca-Cola Japan. He became president and chief executive officer of The Minute Maid Company in 1999. A year later he was made chief marketing officer for Coca-Cola. According to a memo announcing his resignation, Jones will pursue other interests.
