MUCHMUSIC BEGINS SWIMFAN TEXT MESSAGING CAMPAIGN

MuchMusic has begun a national text messaging campaign to promote the March 11 DVD release of the movie "Swimfan." The concept for the campaign was developed with MindShare Canada, the media agency for Twentieth Century Fox. It will run until March 31, coinciding with Twentieth Century Fox's television campaign the DVD. A Web site for the contest has been constructed at <http://www.muchmusic.com/contests> where Rogers AT&T Wireless customers can register their wireless phone numbers. Contestants will receive daily trivia questions about the movie on their phones. By text messaging their responses they become eligible to win daily prizes. Visitors to the site can also win a DVD player and a copy of the movie. The content for the text messaging campaign was created by Airborne Entertainment of Montreal.
