ABC CANADA CREATES MATH LITERACY CARDS
By Adnews Staff
ABC Canada Literacy Foundation is following up its math literacy print advertising campaign with new collateral materials. The multi-year math literacy project began last summer with a series of print ads depicting situations in which low math literacy skills could affect a person's ability to handle tasks. The new print collateral materials, including wallet cards and a brochure, contain math tips and conversions. Their introduction coincides with National Pi Day on March 14. Each card features a different theme, including travel, food and drink, and home renovation. Corresponding math conversions related to each theme are listed. The brochure also presents math conversions along with ways to calculate tips and discounts. The address for the <http://www.mathliteracy.ca> Web site appears on all the materials. According to ABC Canada, the cards and brochure will be distributed nationally through literacy organizations. The foundation is also looking for opportunities to distribute the materials through corporate, retail and media partners. Oxygen Design + Communications created and designed the cards, while Maud Street handled the printing. Über Interactive developed the Mathliteracy.ca Web site. Taxi Advertising created the math literacy print ads. All of these agencies are based in Toronto.
