COCA-COLA RELEASES NEW SPRITE COMMERCIAL
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Coca-Cola has released a follow-up to last year's Sprite commercial featuring Toronto Raptor Jerome Williams. The commercial broke nationally last week in English and French. It will air during Toronto Raptors games and programs including "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill" and "Much Megahits." Created by Cossette Communication Group of Toronto, the spot shows Williams making a series of baskets. A voiceover says, "What does it take to make all this look easy?" The camera shows a man sitting above the backboard, catching Williams' throws and dropping them through the basket. The ad ends with the tagline "Image is nothing. Thirst is everything. Obey your thirst." Last year's commercial was similar in theme. In that ad Williams appears to leap in slow motion for a slam dunk. The last scene shows him to be hanging from wires at a commercial shoot.
