WORKSAFE ADS BREAK IN B.C.

New television commercials in the Workers Compensation Board and the BC Medical Association's "Worksafe" advertising campaign have been released in British Columbia. The information campaign was created by Wasserman & Partners Advertising of Vancouver in 2001. The two new 30-second commercials for 2003 focus on back injuries, a topic the campaign also touched on last year. In one of the ads a print shop worker dances as she returns to work. The second ad uses the rolling mechanic character previously seen in the campaign. Both ads advise that the best treatment for back injuries is progressive activity. "The sooner you get moving, the sooner you'll get better," says a voiceover. The ads will run until May. The campaign will return in the fall. At that time existing ads about injury prevention will run, according to Scott McCloy, director of communications for the board.
