JWT SETS UP GLOBAL MEDIA GROUP

J. Walter Thompson has set up a Global Media Research Group to develop a worldwide network policy for media planning principles and systems. Ten media researchers are in the group, from all regions in which the U.S.-based agency operates: North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Barb Passmore. vice-president, group media director and media research and resources director in Toronto, is the Canadian voice. She told Adnews yesterday that the group will be doing things such as taking a media planning model that was developed in the U.K., and adapting it for use in other regions.
