MASTERCARD MADE PREFERRED CARD AT UNIVERSAL ENTERTAINMENT PROPERTIES

MasterCard International and Vivendi Universal Entertaintment have signed a marketing deal by which MasterCard has become the official payment brand and preferred card of Universal Entertaintment's properties. The financial terms of the agreement are not known. MasterCard now holds the exclusive marketing, advertising and promotional rights of Universal's theme parks and resorts, theatrical and home entertainment movie releases, music and Internet properties. MasterCard is promoting the deal with a new 30-second television commercial. The ad is part of the credit card company's "Priceless" campaign. Filmed at a Universal Studios theme park in Orlando, is shows a family riding a roller coaster during a "priceless" day at the park. It was created by McCann-Erickson of New York. Last year MasterCard, Universal and Chase introduced a co-branded credit card that provides loyalty rewards linked to Universal movies, television, music, theme parks and interactive games.
