Tim Hortons has become the sponsor of CBC's Hockey Day in Canada show. The donut chain signed a five-year deal with the broadcaster to support the annual hockey day show. This year's show will take place tomorrow in Iqaluit, Nunavut, hosted by Ron MacLean and Don Cherry. The Hockey Day in Canada show will include organized tournaments, recreational games, an evaluation of the evolution of hockey and live broadcasts from Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia. As part of the day's events, a Timbits Minor Hockey game will take place during the first and second periods of the Edmonton Oilers versus Montreal Canadiens game. Tim Hortons' Timbits Minor Hockey program is for players four to nine years of age. The sponsorship agreement also includes support for CBC's Hockey Month in Canada features which will air each Saturday in February.
