MASEV TO PRODUCE 2005 SNOWBOARDING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Vancouver-based MASEV Communications is to produce the 2005 Snowboard FIS World Championships. The competition is held every two years. MASEV, along with the Canadian Ski and Snowboard Association, the Canadian Snowboard Federation and the Resort of Whistler, jointly bid for the rights to the 2005 event at FIS' congress last year. The competition will take place between Jan. 22 and Jan. 30 in Whistler, BC. It will be the first time the event has been held in North America. Approximately 400 athletes from about 40 countries will compete.
