ROGERS SPORTSNET DEBUTS NEW MAGAZINE
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Rogers Sportsnet will introduce a new publication called Sportsnet Magazine this week. The premiere edition will be distributed as an insert in Maclean's magazine. Advertisers in the 24-page issue include General Motors, Powerbar, IBM and Rogers AT&T Wireless. The editorial material includes a cover story on the state of Canada's six NHL teams. The editor of the magazine is Rogers Sportsnet's managing editor of hockey Scott Morrison. The launch of the magazine was promoted with print support in Maclean's, an on-air campaign on Rogers Sportsnet, online exposure at <http://www.sportsnet.ca> and with a national radio campaign on Roger's stations, said David Ballingall vice-president of marketing for Rogers Sportsnet. Three more issues in the spring, summer and fall will be released this year. All four will be distributed in Maclean's.
