ZOOM MEDIA APPOINTS CECCHINI PRESIDENT

Montreal-based Zoom Media has appointed Mario Cecchini president and chief operating officer. Cecchini was previously vice-president of sales at TQS Television Network. Prior to that he worked at Telemedia Radio as vice-president of sales and marketing for the company's Canadian radio stations and executive vice-president of its stations in Ontario. He replaces François de Gaspé Beaubien, chairman of Zoom Media's board of directors and co-owner of Telemedia, who had been the interim president. Earlier this month Telemedia acquired sole ownership of Zoom Media when co-founder Carl Grenier sold his interest in the company and resigned as president. Prior to the deal Telemedia was the majority shareholder of Zoom.
