AIR TRANSAT HOLDS ANNIVERSARY PROMOTION

Montreal-based Transat A.T. has begun a promotion to support its 15th anniversary called "Up, Up and Away." The initiative, which will run until Feb. 15, 2003, is aimed at Canadian travel agents. For every booked package or flight for two adults to Florida or Europe, the agent will receive a scratch and win card. Participants can either keep the first prize indicated by a card or risk losing that prize in an attempt to win a larger one. The first 1,000 agents to register for the contest at the Airtransat.com Web site will receive a special edition 15th anniversary watch. The promotion was created by Echo Advertising + Marketing of Toronto. It is being supported with collateral materials including postcards that have been distributed nationally to travel agencies.
