INTERAC BEGINS NEW CAMPAIGN

A new television commercial for the Interac Association will run nationally during the holidays. The spot, created by Axmith McIntyre Wicht of Toronto, uses the organization's "Just Say Interac" tagline. Toronto-based Interac is responsible for the country's Interac Direct Payment and Interac Shared Cash Dispensing services. The commercial, called "Topiary," was released early this month. It makes use of the spelling theme introduced in Interac's previous television commercial, "Spelling Bee," which ran last fall and spring. In the new ad, a man uses the time he saved using Interac to trim the bushes around his house into different shapes. One of the shapes he creates is the word "Interact." The ad goes on to outline the benefits of the Interac services and concludes with the homeowner clipping the "T" off of the bush. In the "Spelling Bee" ad, a boy incorrectly spells Interac by adding a "T" at the end.
