NEWAD ACQUIRES HALF OF NIGHTLIFE

Toronto-based NewAd Media will acquire 50% of Quebec entertainment magazine Nightlife. The financial details are not known. Nightlife was founded by editor Marc Pelletier. The magazine, which has a circulation of 60,000, is published by In House Communications of Montreal. According to NewAd, the content of the magazine will not change. However, the publication will now be distributed through NewAd's Restor-Bar, Health & Fitness and Colleges & Universities services. Nightlife will also have the support of NewAd's national sales staff. NewAd described the magazine as a "distinct communication vehicle."
