PEPSI AND BBDO WIN CASSIES GRAND PRIX

Pepsi-Cola Canada and BBDO Canada took the Grand Prix award at the Cassies 2002 Show on Thursday night. The award was for the "Forever Young" campaign for Diet Pepsi. Pepsi and BBDO also received gold awards in the "packaged goods - beverage" and the "sustained success" categories. La Brasserie Sleeman du Québec and Diesel Marketing also won gold in the 'packaged goods - beverage" category for Sleeman Quebec. In the "packaged goods - other" category the gold winner was Warner-Lambert Consumer Healthcare's Listerine Mouthwash and PocketPaks. Advertising for that brand is done by J. Walter Thompson. The gold winner in the "services - financial" and "regional success" categories was Bank of Montreal's "Profitez" campaign in Quebec created by Cossette Communication-Marketing. In the "events and seasonal" category advertising created by Target Marketing & Communications for Irving Oil's Irving Home Furnaces won the gold. Other gold winners include the Ontario Lottery Corporation and its agency Bensimon Byrne D'Arcy in the "off to a good start" category, Alimentation Couche-Tard and its agency BOS in the "best launch" and "retail" categories and Pfizer Canada and its agencies Taxi, The Media Company and Tattoo in the "government and advocacy" category. The Cassies are presented by the Association of Canadian Advertisers, Institute of Communications and Advertising, Association des Agences de Publicité de Québec and Publicité-Club de Montréal.
