KOKANEE PROMOTED IN QUEBEC

The Columbia Brewery, based in Creston, BC, will introduce its Kokanee beer in Quebec in mid-November, promoted with an advertising campaign created by BBDO Montreal. In-theatre ads will run on 333 screens until the end of the year, followed by television and radio advertising in the new year. Kokanee will also be the official beer of the Freeski ORAGE/RadioX Experience series of events which will begin on Dec. 15 and run until April 12. Public relations for the Oland Specialty Beer Co., the product's Quebec distributor, are being handled by Hill & Knowlton/Ducharme Perron of Montreal. Kokanee is also sold in British Columbia, the Prairie provinces, Ontario and nine western U.S. states.
