YTV BEGINS TRADE CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based YTV began the first phase of a new trade campaign this week by distributing SpongeBob SquarePants Tin Totes to key clients and their advertising agencies. Inside the tote was a booklet called, "Kids Can't Wait To Watch Us." The second phase of the campaign will include YTV Desktop Safes with $20 million "funny money" bills insidem, along with the copy "Small Hands Hold Surprisingly Big Bucks." The final phase of the campaign will be the distribution of YTV Kids Research binders, which will contain the network's annual research study, "The YTV Tween Report: Wave 8, 2002 - Special Kidfluence Edition." The campaign is being promoted in print ads for the channel in industry publications promoting. The merchandise was developed by Theadlibgroup of Toronto. The print advertising was done by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto. The campaign will run until the end of the month.
