NATURE CONSERVANCY AND ROOTS BEGIN PROMOTION
By Adnews Staff
The Nature Conservancy of Canada has teamed up with Toronto-based retailer Roots to promote its Homes for the Holidays program. The national organization seeks to preserve land and wildlife. According to its Homes for the Holidays program, a $30 donation will provide protection for one acre of threatened habitat. The Nature Conservancy is promoting Homes for the Holidays as a gift-giving option during the holiday season. Gift recipients will receive a letter acknowledging the gift, a certificate indicating the number of acres protected, a copy of the organization's newsletter and a calendar. In-store materials including posters and flyers will promote the program at Roots retail stores. A contest component is also involved. Consumers who make a gift donation can win a $500 Roots gift certificate. The Homes for the Holidays program and the Nature Conservancy's association with Roots will be promoted in print ads in The Globe and Mail through November.
