AIR CANADA BEGINS FAMILY SEAT SALE

Montreal-based Air Canada has begun a family targeted seat sale. During the promotion, called "Kids Fly Free," children between the ages of 2 and 11 can fly for the cost of taxes, fees and surcharges when a published fare is booked for travel in Canada between Nov. 13 and Dec. 16. The offer applies to tickets purchased through travel agents or the airline's telephone reservation service. The offer will be promoted on the <http://www.aircanada.ca> Web site and through the Air Canada Reservations call centre. Calgary-based WestJet recently began itw own "Kids Fly Free" promotion, during which children 2 to 11 years can fly for the cost of taxes, fees and surcharges when a regular ticket is purchased for travel between Nov. 13 and Dec. 16. WestJet's offer applies to tickets purchased through the <http://www.westjet.com> Web site or the airline's call centre. It is being promoted with prints ads in major daily newspapers.
