MASTERCARD STARTS PRICELESS MEMORIES SWEEPSTAKES IN CANADA

Toronto-based MasterCard Canada has begun a contest called "Priceless Memories." The holiday promotion is also being held in the U.S., Australia and Europe. Each region has its own prize pool. The contest will run until Dec. 31. Entrants can win one of approximately 1,000 prizes by paying for a purchase with a MasterCard. The five grand prizes consist of $40,000 to be used towards a "Get-Together" trip. Other prizes include 24 weekends for four and 1,000 dinners for four. In Canada the sweepstakes is being promoted with television, print and online advertising. The concept and the print advertising were developed by The Integer Group of Dallas, TX. The television advertising was developed by McCann-Erickson of New York, the agency of record for MasterCard's "Priceless" advertising campaign. The sweepstakes and print materials were adapted for Canada by The Armstrong Partnership of Toronto. McCann-Erickson handled the Canadian adaptation of the television advertising.
