KVOS BEGINS NEW CAMPAIGN

Clear Channel Communication is promoting its KVOS Cable 23 station in British Columbia with a new advertising campaign from Palmer Jarvis DDB of Vancouver. "One of the challenges with the creative was communicating to KVOS viewers the station is now on Cable 23, while also showcasing the variety and content typical of KVOS shows," said Alan Russell, vice-president and creative director of PJ DDB Vancouver. The campaign consists of transit shelter ads and Skytrain posters that parody popular shows on the station such as Jerry Springer and Will & Grace. The Jerry Springer ad shows a man holding cue cards with "*@!&#*" written on them. The Will & Grace ad shows three men in leather chaps and boots. The campaign also includes street posters that parody the weight loss industry by demonstrating how much time viewers can lose watching the station. The campaign will run for eight weeks.
