COCA-COLA PROMOTES DIET VANILLA COKE

Toronto-based Coca-Cola Ltd. will introduce a diet version of Vanilla Coke this week. According to the company, the product is in response to consumer demand following the release of Vanilla Coke in June. Diet Vanilla Coke will be sold nationally in 591 mL and 2L bottles as well as 12-can packs. The packaging will combine the vanilla colour and Coca-Cola script used on the regular Vanilla Coke packaging with the silver colour used on Diet Coke packaging. The priduct will initially be promoted with in-store materials. Advertising will break in November. English-language advertising for Diet Vanilla Coke will be done by MacLaren McCann of Toronto. French language advertising will be handled by Cossette Communication-Marketing. Public relations for the launch are being handled by APEX Public Relations of Toronto.
