VOLKSWAGEN RENEWS SPONSORSHIP OF MONTREAL FESTIVAL

Volkswagen Canada has extended its sponsorship of the Montreal International Festival of New Cinema and New Media for an additional two years. A previous three-year agreement ran from 1999 to 2001. Volkswagen will remain the main sponsor of the festival. The company will also continue to present the Volkswagen People's Choice Award. The 2002 festival will run from Oct. 10 to Oct. 20. Volkswagen is promoting the event with an out-of-home advertising campaign through Zoom and NewAd and with a micro-site at <http://www.vw.com/cinema>. Volkswagen has also used Impact Médias to create a wandering mini-cinema that will travel around Montreal projecting clips from festival films, the event's trailer and Volkswagen adverting, the latter handled by Palm Publicité Marketing.
