MASTERCARD BEGINS CREDIT EDUCATION PROGRAM
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based MasterCard Canada has released a new consumer education campaign called "Get an A in Credit (for the rest of your life)." The program is aimed at college and university students who are encountering new financial responsibilities for the first time, such as tuition, student loans, rent and credit cards. Brochures and posters displaying tips and advice have been distributed to Canadian college and university campuses. The information is also available online at <http://www.mastercard.ca> and has been made available to financial institutions. Created by Armstrong Partnership and Environics Communications, the program materials cover budgeting, accessing financial aid and choosing a way to pay for purchases and expenses. The materials also offer advice on how to chose a credit card and how to start building a credit history.
