SLEEMAN SIGNS PRODUCTION AGREEMENT WITH SAPPORO

Sleeman Breweries of Guelph, ON has signed a production contract with Sapporo Breweries of Tokyo, Japan to produce Sapporo's products in the U.S. Sleeman will produce some Sapporo can and bottle packages for the U.S. market for a five-year term beginning December 2002. Other international brewers of Sapporo include Guinness in Ireland and Dafuhao in China. The U.S. is Sapporo's largest export market.
