MCDONALD'S APPOINTS GLOBAL CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

McDonald's Corp. has appointed Larry Light executive vice-president and global chief marketing officer. Light will be based in Chicago. He will assume responsibility for the chain's global marketing strategy and overall brand development efforts. Most recently Light was president and chief executive officer of consulting firm Arcature. Prior to founding Arcature he was chairman and chief executive officer of the international division of Bates Advertising. Before that he was vice-president of marketing and media services at BBDO Worldwide.
