By Adnews Staff
Acclaim Entertainment, based in Glen Cove, NY, will hold a Labour Day Baby Naming contest to promote of its new Turok:Evolution video game. The contest is open to parents who are expecting a child on or around Sept. 1 and who are willing to name their baby "Turok" for one year. Contestants must pre-register at the company's Web site, <http://www.turok.com/baby>. The first child named Turok born on Sept. 1 will receive $10,0000 in U.S. savings bonds. Parents will be required to sign a legally binding form to name their child Turok and must provide official proof of birth with time and date to Acclaim. "Turok:Evolution," a dinosaur-hunting game, will be released on Sept. 1. Earlier this year during a similar promotion four Canadians took part in tire maker Dunlop Tires' "Tired of Your Name" contest by changing their last names from "Dunlop" to "Dunlop-Tire" for a share of a cash prize.
