ALLIANCE ATLANTIS MAKES PROGRAMMING PROMOTIONS

Alliance Atlantis Broadcast Group will promote three people to its senior programming staff on Sept. 1. John Gill will become senior vice-president of programming for factual and BBC channels. Cindy Witten will become vice-president of original production for factual and BBC channels. Jody Read will assume the newly created position of vice-president of programming acquisitions for factual and BBC channels. Currently Gill is vice-president of programming for BBC Canada and BBC Kids, Witten is vice-president of programming for History Television and Read is director of programming for BBC Canada and BBC Kids.
