STRATEGIC/AMPERSAND UPDATES CISCO SYSTEMS CHANNEL REWARDS PROGRAM

Strategic/Ampersand has re-launched the channel rewards program and Web site of Cisco Systems Canada. The agency originally created the certification program for the Internet networking company in 1999. "The primary objective of the program is to incent and reward reseller partners for increasing their levels of Cisco certification and specialization," said Steve Simmons, vice-president of channel operations for Cisco Systems Canada. The "Make the Connection" program is located at <http://www.cisco.com/ca/certification>. The site now makes use of a new identity and logo. It also offers information on Cisco specializations and self-service tools. New brand name rewards have also been added. A communications campaign, a contest, public relations and media relations, also handled by Strategic/Ampersand, are promoting the program. The agency will also be responsible for the program's ongoing management and administration.
