CORUS TO SELL OSHAWA RADIO STATIONS TO DURHAM RADIO

Toronto-based Corus Entertainment has reached an agreement to sell its Oshawa radio stations, CKDO-AM and CKGE-FM, to Durham Radio Inc. of Ajax, ON. The two stations were among the 17 radio stations and four television stations in Ontario and Quebec that Corus acquired from Power Broadcasting Inc. in 1999. Durham Radio currently operates the country music stations CJKX-FM and CJKX-FM-1 and has a 25% interest in Pineridge Broadcasting Inc., which operates an AM and an FM station. The sale of CKDO and CKGE remains subject to the approval of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission. Financial details were not disclosed.
