TELETOON AND MATTEL BEGIN THIRD MAX STEEL CONTEST

Animation station Teletoon and toy manufacturer Mattel have teamed up again for an online contest promoting Mattel's Max Steel products. The three-week promotion begins today at <http://www.teletoon.com>. It is being supported with a 30-second commercial on Teletoon that encourages viewers to visit the site to participate in the contest. The spot also promotes the Max Steel 2002 toy collection and the animated series' new time slot on Teletoon. Viewers must decode a password to access the contest Web page. Participants then play an online game in which they must gather equipment within an allotted time. Once the equipment has been collected, participants must select the one item whcih they think will help Max Steel defeat his enemy Psycho. If they choose correctly, participants are entered in a draw to win a Max Steel 2002 collection prize pack. Twenty-five secondary prizes from the toy collection will also be awarded. The 30-second ad was created in-house by Teletoon. The online contest will run until Aug. 18.
