WESTPALM MEDIA UNWRAPS GO TRANSIT ADVERTISING
By Adnews Staff
WestPalm Media Inc. of Mississauga has begun a new mobile advertising partnership with Go Transit. At an event held last week at Toronto's Union Station, the brand communications firm unveiled ads for Warner Bros. films "Pluto Nash," "Blood Works" and "Eight Legged Freaks" and Universal Studio film "Blue Crush." These ads will appear on Go Transit train cars. The three wrapped cars will run on Go Transit's Lakeshore Blvd. line from Hamilton to Oshawa. To wrap each car, an 85 foot billboard is produced and cut according to a colour-coded system. The pieces are then mounted on the train. WestPalm Media uses Avery Dennison and Toronto Digital Imaging to create the ads. According to Faisal Rasheed, chief executive officer of WestPalm Media, approximately 1.8 million people will see the ads along the Lakeshore route each month.
