MINI CANADA HOLDS INVESTIGATORS CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
Mini Canada is holding a contest to find three "investigators" to participate in a Mission Mini communications campaign. During the international initiative, teams people from 17 countries will travel to Barcelona to investigate a fictional case of stolen artwork. Each team will consist of three contest winners and a national VIP. The art theft is part of an open-ended story created for the Mission Mini campaign by author Val McDermid. The story concerns artwork by artist Peter Halley stolen from a gallery in Barcelona. A private investigator is hired to solve the mystery. The investigator brings in each team to assist in the solution of the case by driving Mini Cooper S cars through Barcelona. Canadians can enter the contest online at <http://www.mini.ca>. An advertising campaign, created by Taxi Advertising & Design of Toronto, will promote the Mission Mini initiative in Canada. Globally, a public relations program by Ketchum Public Relations is also planned. The concept for the Mission Mini initiative was developed in-house by Mini which is part of the BMW Group of Munich.
