DURACELL PARTNERS WITH FIRE CHIEFS FOR FIRE SAFETY DRIVE
By Adnews Staff
Duracell Canada has partnered with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs for a Duracell Fire Safety Drive. The fire safety education campaign will begin this month and run until September at Canadian retailers. At the events parents and kids will be able to learn about the dangers of fire and how to make a fire safety and escape plan for their homes. Parents and children can also meet local firefighters, tour a fire truck, participate in safety exercises and pick up a free guide. The Duracell Fire Safety Drive is part of a year-long campaign to promote fire safety awareness in Canada. Duracell and the CAFC also teamed up earlier this year to remind Canadians to test their home smoke alarms on National Smoke Alarm Day in April. A second reminder is planned for this fall to coincide with the National Smoke Alarm Day in October. Public relations, including radio public service announcements, from BenchMark Porter Novelli will promote the safety drive.
