MCDONALD'S PROMOTES LIGHTER CHOICES MENU CATEGORY

Toronto-based McDonald's Restaurants of Canada is promoting a new menu category called Lighter Choices which was introduced yesterday. The menu offers a McVeggie burger, a whole wheat chicken McGrill, a fruit and yogurt parfait, a Mandarin California greens salad, a roasted vegetable salad and a side garden salad. National radio and print advertising will promote the Lighter Choices in Canada. Created by Cossette Communication-Marketing, the creative uses the tagline, "There's a little McDonald's in everyone." Public relations for McDonald's are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide of Toronto.
