TORONTO CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD INTRODUCES ADS AT SCHOOLS SERVICE

News Canada and the Toronto Catholic District School Board have created a new service called Ads At Schools. The service offers advertisers several media through which to target students at the board's 220 schools in the 416 area code. Media include: a glossy magazine called School News; posters in cafeterias, washrooms, change rooms and hallways; digital screens at entranceways, atriums and cafeterias; sponsorships of school events; and promotion of contests. The service debuted with the premier issue of School News. The quarterly magazine targets students at each grade level, including sections aimed at primary and high school students. It has a circulation of 150,000. The magazine's summer issue will be followed by a back-to-school issue in September. At that time the other components of the Ads At School program will be introduced.
