HOLIDAY INN BEGINS HOLIDAY FEELING PROMOTION

Holiday Inn Hotels in Canada has begun a summer promotion called "Get That Holiday Feeling." The program will run until Sept. 2. It includes an online contest, a "Kids Eat Free & Stay Free" offer, a "GREAT RATES" offer and the distribution of Shell Gift certificates. A multimedia ad campaign, including newspaper, magazine, Internet, radio and direct mail advertising, will promote the offer. The creative is intended to show how Holiday Inn can help consumers who will be travelling this summer get into a holiday feeling. The grand prize in the contest component, which is at <http://www.holiday-inn.com/holidayfeeling>, is 25,000 Air Miles reward miles. The "Kids Eat Free & Stay Free" program allows children under 12 years of age to eat for free from the hotel restaurant's kid's menu when accompanied by an adult. Children under 19 years of ages can stay for free when accompanied by an adult. The "GREAT RATES" program offers leisure travellers discounts at approximately 60 participating hotels in Canada. Guests who stay two or more consecutive nights will also receive a $5 Shell gift certificate for fuel. The print, Internet and direct mail ads were created by The Farren Group of Toronto. The radio advertising was developed by Keen Music of Toronto. Media buying was done by Media Experts of Toronto. Public relations for the program are being handled by GCI Group.
