Vancouver-based Palmer Jarvis DDB has been appointed agency of record for the BC Dairy Foundation. PJ DDB received the account after a competitive search. Bryant Fulton & Shee of Vancouver and Lanyon Phillips Communications of Vancouver were also considered. The incumbent was Cossette Communication Group. "Key to the selection of [Palmer Jarvis DDB] is its undoubted track record in the area of youth and young adult strategic marketing," said Robin Smith, executive director of the BC Dairy Foundation. "The challenge facing the agency and the BCDF is to make milk increasingly relevant to this group of consumers." Fiona Ahrens, project director for the foundation, said the organization has not done any advertising for the past year and a half while a strategic business review was conducted. A new campaign is planned for the fall.
