BPIQ JOINS FORCES WITH IAB CANADA

The Bureau de la publicite sur Internet au Quebec has formed a partnership with the Internet Advertising Bureau of Canada by which BPIQ becomes the Quebec chapter of IAB Canada. BPIQ's Quebec-based members, which are of Web publishers, advertising agencies and advertisers, will become members of IAB Canada, which represents publishers, advertisers, agencies and associations. "Our goals and those of IAB Canada are exactly the same," said Nicholas Gaudreau, president of BPIQ and vice-president of product management for Sympatico-Lycos. "By joining our efforts with those of IAB Canada, we will be in a better position to contribute to the growth of the Internet advertising market in Quebec while giving a higher profile to the French-language market inside the Canadian market." The partnership also gives IAB Canada a regional office in Montreal.
