PEPSI HOLDS TASTE TOUR

Pepsi-Cola Canada Ltd. of Mississauga has launched its Pepsi Taste Tour for 2002. The national promotion runs began this month and runs until Labour Day. It features two components: the Pepsi Taste Challenge and the Pepsi Taste Tour. The Pepsi Taste Challenge is taking place in Ontario and British Columbia. The Pepsi Taste Tour features the Pepsi Fan Can, a travelling video opinion booth, that is touring throughout the Prairies, Quebec and Halifax. Both components offer consumers the opportunity to win tickets to one of 11 invitation-only Pepsi Taste Tour concerts this fall as well as other prizes such as portable CD players, DVD players, Fuji QuickSnap cameras and Famous Players movie passes. All participants of both programs also receive a Pepsi Card which features a peel to win section for the chance to win an instant prize. The card also provides consumers with discounts at restaurants and stores across Canada. Select radio stations in participating Pepsi Taste Challenge and Pepsi Taste Tour cities will also be giving away tickets to the 11 concerts. Consumers who also register on the at the <http://www.pepsi.ca> Web site will also have the opportunity to win. The Pepsi Taste Tour 2002 is being managed by Bat Cave Inc. Radio and television advertising promoting the tour was done by BBDO Canada with media buying handled by OMD. Online elements including an email campaign to those who register at the Pepsi.ca site are being handled by Proximity Canada, all of Toronto. Public relations for the tour are being handled by Praxis Public Relations of Mississauga.
