TORONTO STAR BEGINS CAMPAIGN FOR CLASSIFIEDS SECTION
By Adnews Staff
The Toronto Star began a new advertising campaign for its classifieds section this week. Outdoor and radio advertising, created by Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto, depicts situations in which people have placed products they want to sell in visible but improbable places. One print ad shows a refrigerator with a "For Sale" sign on it on a subway platform. Another ad shows a couch with a similar sign at a street intersection. Two 30-second radio spots are also included in the campaign. In the first a person runs onto the field at SkyDome in an attempt to sell a carpet. In the second two men attempt to sell a couch at an intersection. In both ads an announcer says "There's an easier way to sell your stuff fast. Put you stuff where more people will see it. The Toronto Star Classifieds." The campaign will run for six weeks.
