OMBRELLE BEGINS SUN PROTECTION GAME

Montreal-based skincare company Ombrelle Canada will begin an online game on May 13 in conjunction with the start of Sun Awareness week. The game, part of a Sun Protection campaign, was created by All Media Drive of Montreal. It is intended to teach children aged seven to 10 how to protect themselves from the sun. The game features two characters, Parabella and Super Shield, who must protect a family from UVA and UVB rays hats, sunglasses and sunblock. Between each level of the game messages appear about the sun's effects on skin. The game will also be distributed on CD-ROM, along with promotional materials, to dermatologists and pediatricians in Canada. Marketing support will include displays in drugstores and print ads in the National Post. Just Bull Communications of Montreal created the promotional materials.
