CLEARLY CANADIAN PROMOTES U.S. ROLL OUT OF REEBOK FITNESS WATER

Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp. of Vancouver has begun a consumer print campaign to promote the national roll out of its Reebok fitness water in the U.S. Clearly Canadian initially released the beverage in some U.S. markets last year through a licensing agreement with Reebok International of Canton, MA. It is sold in three flavours: natural, berry and citrus. Print ads aimed at active individuals broke last month in national health and fitness magazines including Fitness, Shape, Sports Illustrated for Women, Sports Illustrated Adventure, Men's Fitness and Men's Journal. The first ad in the campaign shows the product on a weight rack in order to present it as an "essential piece of equipment," according to the company. The campaign was created by Karacters Design Group of Vancouver. It will run until October. New flavours and new packaging for the brand are planned for 2002, as is the product's introduction in Canada.
