By Adnews Staff
Rogers Sportsnet and Harley-Davidson have teamed up for a promotion which began yesterday. Running until June 14, the contest will award one entrant a new 2002 Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod motorcycle. A 30-second TV commercial running during Sportsnet Primetime, created in-house, encourages viewers to enter. A three-week teaser campaign led up to the contest launch date. Viewers can enter online at <http://www.sportsnet.ca>. In-store materials, including ballot boxes at Canadian Harley-Davidson retailers, are also being used to promote the contest. On June 14 one name will be drawn for each of Sportsnet's four regions: Sportsnet East (Quebec and the Atlantic provinces), Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet West (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Nunavut) and Sportsnet Pacific (British Columbia and Yukon). Those four contestants will be flown to Toronto and to visit the Sportsnet studios and meet Sportscentral AM host Hazel Mae. Each will also receive a key. The contestant whose key starts the motorcycle is the winner.
