ONTARIO TOYOTA DEALERS CONTINUE REAL PEOPLE CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Toyota Dealers continue to promote themselves as "Real people selling great cars" in three new television commercials currently airing. "Science Project" shows a dealer eating a snack from the fridge which turns out to be his daughter's science project. "Slippers" shows a dealer scrambling to leave her house in the morning. She rushes out the door wearing pink bunny slippers on her feet. She returns to the door because she forgot to lock it. "Snowsuit" depicts a dealer who has just finished dressing his son in a snowsuit. The son says he has to go to the bathroom. The dealer removes the suit. The boy says he does not have to go anymore. All three sports end by showing the dealer in a Toyota showroom. The ads will run for the year. Additional spots will also be released later in the year. Advertising for the Ontario Toyota Dealers Association is done by Gee, Jeffery & Partners of Toronto, which introduced the "Real people selling great cars" concept in 1999.
