DR. PEPPER, BABY BLUE SOUNDCREW AND FAMOUS PLAYERS BEGIN PROMOTION

Dr. Pepper, Famous Players and Baby Blue Soundcrew have teamed up for a joint promotion called "Stand Out or Get Out" aimed at movie-goers. Radio and billboard advertising is promoting the effort, which will run until May 2. Those who "stand out" in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Regina and Saskatoon can win tickets to exclusive Baby Blue Soundcrew concerts in those cities in July. Movie goers can enter by filling out a ballot at the food concession stands of Famous Players theatres. In June and July, radio stations in each of the six cities will hold contests in which listeners will be asked what makes them stand out. Winners will receive tickets to the concert in their city. On the night of the concert they will also have a chance to win a trip to a "stand out" destination. Famous Player theatres in Canada will distribute free Baby Blue Soundcrew Sampler CDs to consumers who purchase a combo meal from any retail outlet in the theatres. The CD giveaway will also run until May 2. Public relations for Pepsi-Cola Canada Inc., which markets the Dr. Pepper brand, are handled by Praxis Public Relations of Mississauga.
