AXIA NETMEDIA AND ADFARM CREATE NEW AGENCY

Calgary-based Axia NetMedia Corp. has joined with AdFarm, also of Calgary, to create a new agricultural marketing communications agency. The new agency will consist of the merged operations of Axia's agricultural marketing communications groups, Fieldstone Marketing and Kahntact Marketing, with AdFarm, a marketing communications agency with expertise in the agrifood industry. Fieldstone and Kahntact count Aventis CropScience, RBC Royal Bank and Pioneer Hi-Bred among their clients. AdFarm's clients include Agricore United, Bayer Inc. and Dow AgroSciences. Axia president Murray Wallace and AdFarm president Art Froehlich described the new agency a Canadian powerhouse in the field of agriculture with a growing presence in the United States. The combined agency will use the AdFarm name. It will be based in Calgary with offices in Guelph, ON, Kansas City, MO and Fargo, ND. Its annual revenues will be approximately $9 million.
