By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based music retailer HMV is selling the "Ulterior Emotions" CD featured in a television commercial for Labatt Breweries of Canada's Bud Light brand. The ad makes use of the fictional Bud Light Institute, the stated purpose of which is to help men spend more time with their friends. The CD contains songs such as "You Didn't Have To (Get Me That Beer)", "You Said It Was Okay (I Should Have Known It Wasn't)" and "You're Beautiful (Can I Go Up North This Weekend?)" Previously the disc was sold online at <http://www.budlightinstitute.ca>. HMV stores in Ontario and HMV.com will sell the CD for the cost of production and distribution. In-store materials created by Downtown Partners, the agency which handles advertising for Bud Light, will promote the CD. Also, personalities from the television commercial will make a promotional appearance at HMV's flagship store in Toronto at a CD release party on April 9. Public relations for Labatt Breweries are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
