SWEETRIPE MAY HAVE JOB FOR AGENCY

SweetRipe Drinks of Mississauga, Ont. has bought the Canadian division of Everfresh Beverages and could be looking an agency to promote its products, marketing director Perry Lupyrpa told Adnews this week. The juice maker has only done in-store advertising in the past, hiring agencies on a project basis to create it. Currently it is putting together its 1996-97 plan and may increase consumer advertising. If it does, it may need an agency. SweetRipe will have a clearer idea of what it is doing in about a month. Everfresh went into receivership in November, and at the same time filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S.. SweetRipe brands include Allen's, Mitchell's and SweetRipe fruit drinks.
