NORTHWEST AIRLINES OFERS AIR MILES
By Adnews Staff
Northwest Airlines of St. Paul, MN will become the first airline to issue points in The Loyalty Group's Air Miles Reward program. To earn Air Miles travellers must join Northwest's WorldPerks frequent flyer program. Each time customers fly to or from Canada on NorthWest Airlines, or its partner airlines Northwest Airlink and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, they will earn WorldPerks miles as well as 25 Air Miles reward miles. Print ads in The Globe and Mail and National Post will carry the copy: "Earn Air Miles reward miles where they could never be earned before. The air." The ads will also run from April to June in Maclean's and Time Canada. Northwest's participation will also be promoted in program members' quarterly summaries next month and in the Travel & More magazine mailed to members. Public relations for Toronto-based The Loyalty Group are handled by GCI Group of Toronto. Northwest has been a reward supplier since 1998. It is one of six airlines with which members can redeem their Air Miles for travel.
